MultivRSS is a content aggregator and a bookmark manager: the two tools you need to read the internet the way you once walked into a newsstand, scanned the rack, picked three or four magazines and read them start to finish. No algorithm choosing for you, no endless scroll.

It exists because its two best ancestors were shut down: Google Reader in 2013, Pocket in 2025. The services we trusted to keep our reading for us turned out to be mortal. MultivRSS takes the hint and applies it to what it keeps.

A bookmark manager usually promises to remember everything, forever. That promise is the eternity bias in its purest form: saving costs nothing, so we save everything and read nothing, and the archive becomes a pile no one will ever go through. MultivRSS lets saved items fade, for whoever turns it on. An item you don’t come back to first loses its description, then its title, until only the site it came from remains; then it is forgotten. No soft delete, no history: forgetting is irreversible by design. Feed items that drop off their source are kept for ninety days, then they go too.

What the end gives back is a list worth reading: what you keep returning to stays, the rest makes room.

MultivRSS is opinionated, and says so. It is open source under the MIT license, and can be self-hosted.
